Dr. Thomas Eggleton, PT, DPT, MS, CCTT: Physical Therapist, Owner
Thomas Eggleton received his B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1973 his M.S. in Physical Therapy in 1978 from the University of Southern California and his DPT in 2003 from Rocky Mountain University. His post graduate studies include extensive work in Manual Therapy, Sports Medicine, Craniomandibular Disorders, Pain Control and Work Rehabilitation. Mr. Eggleton has presented post-graduate research papers and taught over 100 post-graduate professional courses, both nationally and internationally, in the areas of orthopedics and manual therapy. He is presently a consultant in head, neck, and facial pain to the Clinical Research Foundation, and an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California. Mr. Eggleton is co-author of a functional anatomy text on the head, neck and temporomandibular joint and contributing author on two textbooks on evaluation and treatment of CMD. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Orthopedic, Aquatic, Geriatrics, Private Practice and Women's Health sections.
Dennis Langton, PT, BS, CCTT: Master Clinical Physical Therapist, Owner
Dennis Langton received his B.S. degree in Health Education and Physical Therapy in 1973 from the University of Utah. His post graduate studies include a wide variety of advanced clinical courses in the areas of Manual Therapy, Sports Medicine, Neurology, Craniomandibular Disorders, and Work Rehabilitation. Mr. Langton has presented over 30 post graduate research papers and taught over 100 post-graduate professional courses, both nationally and internationally, in the areas of orthopedics, manual therapy, orthotics and prevention education. He is presently a consultant in head, neck, and facial pain to the Clinical Research Foundation, and an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California. Mr. Langton is co-author of a functional anatomy text on the head, neck and temporomandibular joint and contributing author on two textbooks on evaluation and treatment of CMD. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Orthopedic, Private Practice, Aquatics, Geriatrics, Women's Health and Health Policy and Administration sections. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the California Physical Therapy Association and as a Trustee of APTA-PAC.
Sandra Daniels, PT, BS, OCS: Physical Therapist, Managing Director
Sandra joined the E&L Associates Physical Therapy team in October 2000, working in the Chula Vista Office. She came to E&L after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Daemen College, with a minor in Special Education. Sandra has since demonstrated extensive skill in patient care and is currently working as the clinic director of the La Mesa clinic.
Sandra has continued to expand her knowledge in all aspects of orthopedic manual treatment through multiple continuing education courses and received certification from the American Physical Therapy Association as an OCS, or Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, in July of 2009. Sandra is considered a specialist in the treatment of the lumbo-sacral complex as well as the upper cervical spine and TMJ. Sandra is an active participant in physical therapy matters and is the vice chair of the California District of the APTA.
Sandra, who loves sports and the weather in San Diego, is a valued member of the E&L team and will gladly answer any questions regarding patient care in the La Mesa clinic.
Alicia Ryden, PT, MPH: Master Clinical Physical Therapist
Alicia has 37 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in Orthopedic physical therapy, Manual Therapy, Sports, Pediatric, Occupational Medicine (Industrial PT) and Women's Health. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan in 1970. Alicia's skills and background as a physical therapist have earned her the designation of Orthopedic Manual Therapist (OMT).
Prior to E&L Associates, she worked in multiple outpatient clinics, most recently at an outpatient physical therapy clinic and an on-site service industrial physical therapy clinic at Teledyne Aeronautical and for Marriott Hotels. Additionally, Alicia received her Master's degree in Public Health from San Diego State University.
Alicia is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, American Public Health Association, and the Arthritis Foundation Allied Health Professions Section, all of which help her in retaining the most advanced, up to date information in the field of physical therapy. Alicia has received additional education in Type 2 Diabetes, Chronic Foot Disorders, Lower Extremity Total Joint Replacement, and the Burdenko method of Aquatic Therapy and has authored 12 publications. When she is not working, Alicia loves to be active and has climbed Mt. Fuji just to watch the sunrise over the lake. E&L is proud to have an invaluable therapist to assume the responsibilities of Master Clinical Therapist in our La Mesa Center.
Lauren Redon, PT, MPT, BS: Physical Therapist, Clinic Supervisor - Eastlake
Lauren has over nine years experience as a Physical Therapist in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. Before coming to E&L, Lauren worked in multiple outpatient clinics across the country from Chicago, Illinois to Houston, Texas where she gained tremendous experience in treating patients of different backgrounds. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from Pennsylvania State University in 1997. Following her graduation, Lauren continued on to Physical Therapy School at Duke University where she graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy in 2000.
Lauren began working with E&L in March, 2007 as Director of Rehab at the Eastlake Office and has showed continued expertise in orthopedic and manual therapy techniques since. E&L is proud to have a therapist like Lauren supervising the treatment of patients in the Eastlake Central area.
Lauren loves the outdoors and is taking advantage of her new surroundings here in San Diego and takes every opportunity to spend time with her husband and dog hiking, sailing, and taking long walks through Balboa Park. Lauren will happily answer any question regarding patient care in the Eastlake office.
Joanne Wagenbrenner, PT. MOMT, CHT: Physical Therapist, Hand Specialist
Joanne has over 28 years of experience in orthopedic manual therapy and outpatient rehabilitation during which time she has constantly strived to continue her education as the field has progressed. Joanne received her certificate in physical therapy from the Mayo School of Allied Health in 1981. She received her Masters of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 1992 from the Ola Gama Institute.
After continued work and studying while in the field of manual therapy, Joanne completed her Doctoral Dissertation on "Demonstrating the Effectiveness of Longitudinal Soft Tissue Mobilization of the Extensor Forearm to Improve Tissue Flexibility and Grip Strength" in 1999 and has since completed over 100 continuing education courses. In 2001 Joanne became a Certified Hand Therapist and has focused on this area of therapy ever since.
Joanne joined E&L in 2007 and has worked in the Eastlake office till the present time. Joanne has been very active in the Arthritis Foundation and has offered numerous in-services related to arthritis and Fibromyalgia. Before beginning her career in therapy, Joanne taught High School math and was a counselor for 15 years before receiving her Master of Arts in both math and counseling. Joanne is a special part of the E&L team and will happily answer any questions about hand therapy or patient care.
Kendra Strouse, PT, MPT, BS: Senior Physical Therapist
Kendra Strouse has 13 years experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in private practice outpatient clinics. She joined the E&L Associates Physical Therapy team in January 2002 working in the La Mesa office. Since then Kendra has demonstrated extensive skill and ability in both orthopedic and manual therapy, but she has demonstrated particular skill in soft tissue and joint mobilization, MFR, Strain-counter strain, and muscle energy techniques.
Prior to E&L Associates, Kendra worked with the Sunnyvale PRN clinic near San Jose, California. Additionally, Kendra received her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Idaho State University and her bachelor's degree from the University of the Pacific. With her clinical experience and educational background, E&L Associates Physical Therapy is proud to have an invaluable therapist like Kendra working in our Eastlake Center.
Dr. Tracey King, PT, DPT, BS: Physical Therapist, Clinical Supervisor - Poway
Dr. King joined the E&L team in November of 2010. Tracey completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of Colorado Denver in 2009. She received her Baccalaureate degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University in 2006. Prior to joining the E&L team Dr. King worked in outpatient orthopedic settings in San Diego including a stint at the Navel Regional Medical Center.
Dr. King brings her orthopedic and manual therapy clinical experience to our Poway center where she currently serves as its clinical supervisor. Tracey has had specialty training in knee and shoulder manual rehabilitation and is also McKenzie trained in the treatment of low back pain.
When not at work Tracey can be found on the slopes or on the squash court or just having fun with her dogs Mini and Jumbo. Tracey is an invaluable addition to both our management team as well as providing the highest quality cost effective physical therapy services. Tracey will gladly answer any questions regarding patient care services in the Poway clinic.
Dr. Marla Huott, PT, DPT, BS: Physical Therapist
Dr. Huott earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from Loyola Marymount in 1990. She went on to complete her Master's degree in Nutritional Sciences from San Diego State University in 1994. Her desire has always been to be a physical therapist and after a few positions in Nutrition Counseling she was able to complete her goal by receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in August of 2011. After completing a clinical internship with us, Marla then joined E&L Associates PT as a Research Assistant with our TMJ patients. She joined the E&L team as a full-time treating physical therapist in September of 2011.
We are very pleased to have Dr. Huott join the cutting edge team in the Chula Vista center. Marla brings brings a wide range of education and experience to the practice along with a bright smile that is infectious with her patients. Marla continues to work to enhance her knowledge of multiple orthopedic techniques.
When not working with patients or dealing with her two children, three dogs and a cat, Marla still enjoys a bit of figure skating, a sport in which she once competed.
Dr. Stacy Johnson, PT, DPT, BS: Physical Therapist
Dr. Johnson began her career with E&L June of 2011. Stacy, a California native, received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from UCSD in 2008. She began working for a physical therapy clinic in San Diego and there decided to become a physical therapist. Stacy then went on to The University of St. Augustine to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May of 2011 also receiving a scholastic achievement award. Dr. Johnson has gained considerable experience and training in orthopedic manual therapy as well as cardiac and neuro-rehab. Stacy also served as a teaching assistant in the anatomy lab during her doctoral education.
E&L is pleased to have Stacy assume the responsibilities of a full-time staff therapist in the Chula Vista location. Stacy consistently shows a can do attitude and has excelled in honing her clinical judgment and treatment skills and is a valued member of the team.
When not treating her patients in the Chula Vista Center, Stacy enjoys the outdoors with soccer, running, surfing, camping and hiking. She does it all but also sets aside time to volunteer in the Foster Mentor Program acting as a mentor, role model and friend to a foster child.
Kristy Cavazos, PT, MPT, BS: Physical Therapist
Kristy joined the E&L team in October of 2011. Kristy graduated from California Statue University Fresno in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science. Kristy then went on to California State University Northridge and completed her Master's in Physical Therapy degree in May 2011. Kristy has considerable clinical training and experience in orthopedics with additional training in vestibular and balance rehabilitation.
Since joining the E&L team, Kristy hit the ground running and has been an integral part of the E&L patient care team. Treating in our Eastlake Center she has demonstrated extensive skill and ability in both orthopedic and manual therapy including post rehabilitation programs. Kristy is always looking forward to further her clinical education.
When not at work, Kristy is an avid NFL fan and loves all things San Diego has to offer. She enjoys participating is a number of sports and while she states she likes all types of music she loves New Orleans and spirit of Bourbon Street. Kristy is committed to helping every patient heal and get back to his or her full capacity, She continues to be a special part of the amazing work that continues within the cutting-edge E&L team.
Dr. Seth Egge, PT, DPT, BS, RKT: Physical Therapist
Dr. Egge joined the E&L Associates team in January of 2012 upon completion of his Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine in December of 2011. Prior to beginning his physical therapy studies, Seth received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Pre-Physical Therapy in 2008 from San Diego State University. Seth went on to complete his certification as a Registered Kinesiotherapist (RKT) in 2008.
Seth brings considerable orthopedic manual physical therapy skills to the practice and has shown himself to be very proactive and dedicated to gaining as much experience as he can. We are pleased to have Seth join us as a welcomed addition to the E&L Associates team. Seth is currently dividing his services working in our Poway and La Mess centers, where he has already grown.
Seth is a native to Southern California. When not working with his patients, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, camping, fishing and spending time with his family.
Maybelyn Morrison, Office Manager
Maybelyn joined the team at E&L Associates Physical Therapy in 2006. Maybelyn brought with her 12 years of experience in the administration field. Maybelyn also brings a strong customer service background from more than 5 years in the hospitality and hotel industry.
Upon assuming the role of Office Manager, Maybelyn immediately began to show her communication and customer services skills in dealing with our patients and continues that same drive in training and managing our front office staff. Maybelyn truly enjoys working with everyone and giving her best in helping with any questions or issues our patients may have prior and during their experience with us.
In her free time Maybelyn enjoys soaking up the sun while doing one of her many outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and working in her garden.
